During the mid-1980's, the Club Foot Orchestra developed a unique sound. Reviewers had fun cataloging the diverse styles which juxtaposed vertically and horizontally: Klezmer Paso Dobles (Suerte de la Noche), Balkan Surf (Entrance), Dinosaur Story Avant-o-rama (Innocent), No-Wave meets the Red Army Chorus on a cartoon bunny path (Time Axe Bag Dad). And then there were pieces that were totally unique...

kidnapped (The name is taken from the lurid poster of a "B" movie "The Kidnapped Coed" with the caption: "He only wanted the money ... until he saw HER". I never saw the movie but the poster was hanging up in bandroom which we shared with Snakefinger at 18 Sycamore, San Francisco.

This album is dedicated to Phillip "Snakefinger" Lithman (1949 - 1987), who suffered a fatal heart attack while on tour in Linz, Austria, on the same day as the final mixdown of this album. We'll never forget you!
